These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Janet Aspen Wellness website and client portal. By accessing this site or creating an account, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Use of This Website
This website is intended for informational purposes and to facilitate access to clinical services. You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with its intended use. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this site or its underlying systems.
Client Portal
Account responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Your account is personal and must not be shared with or accessed by any other individual. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Accuracy of information
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account and completing intake forms. Providing false or misleading information may affect the quality of care you receive.
Appointment Booking and Cancellation
Appointments booked through the client portal are subject to the following conditions:
- A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule without charge
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time will be charged the full session fee, except in cases of documented emergency
- Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in a requirement for prepayment or termination of the clinical relationship
Payment
Payment for sessions is processed securely through Stripe. By booking a session, you authorise the applicable session fee to be charged at the time of the appointment. All fees are listed in your booking confirmation. Janet Aspen Wellness does not accept insurance directly but can provide a superbill upon request.
A Good Faith Estimate of expected costs is available upon request, as required under the No Surprises Act.
Clinical Relationship
The content on this website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical or psychological advice. A clinical relationship is established only through the formal intake process and explicit agreement by Janet Aspen, Ph.D. Use of this website or the client portal does not establish a clinical relationship.
Janet Aspen, Ph.D. reserves the right to decline or discontinue services to any individual at her clinical discretion, with appropriate referrals provided where applicable.
Telehealth
Remote sessions are provided via secure video link. By booking a remote session, you confirm that you will be physically located in the state of Connecticut during the session unless otherwise agreed in writing. You accept that technology failures may occasionally occur and agree to a backup plan (typically a phone call) in such circumstances.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, images, and resources — is the property of Janet Aspen Wellness and is protected by applicable copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this site without prior written permission.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Janet Aspen Wellness shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for services in the preceding three months.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or client portal following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Emergency and Crisis Support
