Twenty years of holding space
A clinical psychologist, yoga teacher, and meditation guide — bridging the science of the mind with the wisdom of the body and the healing power of nature.
More than a therapist — a fellow traveller
I came to this work not just through academic training, but through a genuine curiosity about the human condition — what shapes us, what wounds us, and what allows us to heal. Over two decades of clinical practice, published research, and lived experience have deepened my conviction that true healing is never one-dimensional.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist, a trained Kundalini yoga teacher, a certified EMDR practitioner, and a facilitator of Yoga Nidra and plant medicine integration. Each of these paths has informed the other — and together they form the foundation of an approach that is as unique as the people I work with.
I practice in Southport, Connecticut, and work remotely with clients across the country. My office is designed to be a sanctuary — a space where you can breathe, think, feel, and begin to move toward the life you want to be living.
Janet's work grew from a belief that healing needs both clinical skill and genuine human presence.
Unhurried, collaborative, and grounded. The first conversation is about understanding what brings you here and what would help you feel safe.
Together, you choose a pace that respects your nervous system, your history, and your real life outside the therapy room.
Healing happens in relationship
The therapeutic relationship is not a backdrop for healing — it is the medium through which healing occurs. The quality of the connection between therapist and client, the safety of the space, the capacity to be truly seen and heard without judgment — these are not incidental to the work. They are the work.
I believe that each person who walks through my door carries within them everything they need to heal. My role is not to fix or direct — but to create the conditions under which your own innate capacity for growth and transformation can emerge.
I also believe that healing is not only cognitive. It lives in the body, in the breath, in the nervous system, in the rhythms of the natural world. The most lasting transformation I have witnessed — in my clients and in myself — has come from approaches that honour the whole person.
