Healing Modalities & Services

An integrative approach to wellness

Six healing modalities — used alone or woven together — each addressing a different dimension of your wellbeing. You choose the path that feels right.

The western and the ancient, together

The intention of this practice is to provide options for those seeking a more holistic approach — one that emphasises the healing potential within the mind-body connection. Current research on trauma and psychological distress increasingly shows that combining traditional therapy with somatic, mindfulness, and body-based practices significantly enhances outcomes.

Whatever modality or combination of modalities you choose, the therapeutic environment is always honest, supportive, grounding, and empathic.

01
Talk Therapy

Psychotherapy

✦ First session complimentary

Psychotherapy is a collaborative treatment based on the relationship between an individual and psychologist. It is grounded in dialogue and provides space to speak openly with someone who is objective, neutral, and non-judgmental.

From this place, we work together to identify and change the thought and behavior patterns that are keeping you from feeling your best. Often these are rooted in deeply held emotions that require further attention and processing.

I typically work from a Psychodynamic foundation — which includes traditional psychoanalysis, object relations theory, attachment theory, and interpersonal theory.

Also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Affect Focused Psychotherapy.

02
Trauma Processing

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an empirically supported, structured model of psychotherapy that involves working with memories, body sensations, core-self beliefs, and emotions — to eliminate the emotional, somatic, and cognitive remnants of painful past experiences.

Unlike traditional talk therapies, EMDR does not require detailed discussion about a distressing event. Instead, the focus is placed on changing the way in which the memory was stored, thus reducing and eliminating problematic symptoms.

EMDR is an effective short-term treatment for:

  • PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic
  • Phobias, chronic illness, and grief
  • Sleep disturbances and eating disorders
  • Performance issues and interpersonal difficulties
  • Addiction and personality disorders
03
Body-Based Healing

Somatic Psychotherapy

Somatic Psychotherapy approaches mental health with a strong emphasis on the mind-body connection. It is based on the premise that painful emotions and trauma, left unprocessed, get stored in the body — influencing our beliefs and perceptions about ourselves and the world around us.

Using grounding techniques and simple breathwork, somatic therapy quiets the mind and focuses attention inward, so that emotions can be accessed directly through the subtle sensations in the body. Bypassing the mind allows us to release trauma at its source.

This type of therapeutic work is especially beneficial when we feel blocked from — or have limited access to — our feelings, and can be used alone or in conjunction with other modalities.

04
Presence & Mindfulness

Meditation, Mindfulness & Yoga

Meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, and yoga practices can be used alone or as an experiential accompaniment to enhance or speed up traditional psychotherapeutic work.

The ability to be present is a superpower. It is grounding. As if slowing down time, being present enables you to navigate what is before you with greater clarity and ease — even through times of challenge.

With practice, past experiences and fears of the future hold less influence over your perceptions and decision making. You begin to react less and respond more — a fertile environment for creating the outcomes you desire, rather than those you fear.

Together we can create a practice that suits your needs, preferences, and lifestyle.

05
Deep Guided Meditation

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a powerful guided meditation practice and one of the easiest to develop and maintain. It is practiced lying down, and led by a facilitator. Verbal cues drop you into a meditative state and draw your attention inward.

Without the struggle of "trying" to meditate, your body rests in a natural state of equilibrium, effortlessly. From this state of balance, we can improve the functioning of the brain, hypothalamus, pituitary gland, and the entire endocrine system — your own natural pharmacy.

In this state of quiet consciousness, patterns and dynamics are revealed and healed effortlessly, and intentions are planted with zero resistance from the thinking mind. Yoga Nidra is considered more powerful than hypnosis in altering unconscious dynamics and beliefs — because unlike hypnosis, it utilises both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously.

06
Psychedelic Support

Plant Medicine & Psychedelic Psychotherapy Support

Plant medicine and psychedelic psychotherapy is a guided, intentional healing process that combines — in some cases — expanded states of consciousness with grounded therapeutic support. It is designed to help individuals access deeper layers of the psyche, beyond habitual thought patterns.

I have extensive training in all three phases of psychedelic psychotherapy: holistic preparation leading up to the experience, deep integration following it, and a grounding presence during the experience itself — held in a curated, safe, and comfortable space.

While Connecticut currently limits the type of psychedelic psychotherapy available, Ketamine can be prescribed for those who are cleared medically — and there are non-psychedelic plant medicines that soften the ego and open the heart, allowing profound healing. Referrals to out-of-state retreat centres offering a broader range of options are also available.
